Large Building Projects

HRS has performed many different talks in connection with the big projects: The Great Belt Bridge, The Øresund Bridge and the Mini Metro of Copenhagen.

The Great Belt Bridge:
Right from the start of the project HRS supplied steel parts, fitters and welders on both the bridge and the tunnel. HRS manned workshops where the equipment for the project was maintained.
We also supplied special sounding vessel, tugboat and ferry.
Today HRS still performs maintenance and delivers big and small steel constructions for the bridge and tunnel.

The Øresund Connection:
HRS supplied manpower for different service tasks such as small repairs and maintenance of machines.
Also here we helped crewing the workshops, where different welding tasks for the concrete entrepreneurs was performed. HRS also helped welding the rebars and the lightning rods.

The Mini Metro of Copenhagen:
Right from the start HRS made the station mock-up, build with aluminum cassettes and glass panels.
HRS performed many tasks on the Mini Metro stations. Especially the 5 Amager ground stations. Vestamager, Ørestad, Bellacenter, Sundby og Universitet station.
We assisted with manpower for the steel constructions, fitting of glass panels, fitting of reinforcement on the panels, fitting of steel bars for the train platforms, drilling of holes for cables, fitting and grouting of handrail stanchions.
On top of this we had welders on TBM and many other places during the project.

From our workshops in Rødovre, Korsør and Kalundborg - HRS delivered steel components direct to Comet and to many of the suppliers of Comet.
Amongst other things fittings for emergency telephones, landings and grates for service platforms, stainless steel reinforcements for roof up stands, pipes for ventilation and other brackets for TBM  Liva and Betty and installation angles for granite support.
